Lie Detector Limited Terms and Conditions of Service

All services provided to the Client and Examinee are subject to the following terms and conditions.  Clients and Examinees of Lie Detector Limited are deemed to be aware of the terms and conditions and accept that they are binding in their entirety.

  1. Instruction
  2. All examinees are required to sign a polygraph consent form and a medical questionnaire prior to the commencement of the polygraph test. Lie Detector Limited cannot be held responsible for any consequences which occur due incorrect or misleading information provided by the examinee.

    The examinee voluntarily without threats, promises of immunity or reward and without duress, coercion or force agree to take a polygraph examination. The examinee fully realises that they are not re not required to take the polygraph examination and that the examinee has the right to consult legal advice or anyone else they wish to, before taking the polygraph examination or signing any forms

  1. Delivery of Services
  2. The examinee and client are expected and required to cooperate fully with the examiner and to behave in an acceptable manner during the entire polygraph examination process, failure to do so, or any aggressive behaviour may result in the termination of the testing process.  

    The examinee voluntarily authorises: the examiner to attach to their body each and every component/sensor required to conduct the polygraph examination: and the use of both electronic audio and video recording devices during the entire interview, pre-test, examination and post-test process.

    The polygraph examination charts and the audio and video recordings are and will permanently remain the property of Lie Detectors Limited and are never released. No further services and or consultations of any kind are included in the polygraph test fee following the conclusion of a polygraph test and the provision of the test results.

    The examinee hereby voluntarily requests and authorises any Examiner conducting the polygraph examination, Lie Detector Ltd and any of its officers, consent to the use of both electronic audio and video recording devices during the entire interview, pre-test phase, in-test phase and post-test phase for quality purposes and agree that these recordings, as well as the results of the polygraph shall remain the sole property of Lie Detector Ltd and that in line with our General Data Protection Policy and legal obligations will be deleted from our records within 24 hours after the test is conducted unless otherwise requested by the client in the pre-test examination.​

    The examiner has examinee and client permission and consent to ask me such questions during the pre-examination interview, on the actual examination and during any possible post-examination interview as they deem necessary to verify the examinee’s basic honesty and integrity, medical background and any other area that is pertinent to the polygraph examination.​

    The examinee and client are expected and required to behave and conduct themselves appropriately and professionally from the beginning of the examination until its end. Any type of threatening or aggressive behaviours, intimidation, shouting or yelling, criminal conduct of any kind, harassment, or any type of behaviours deemed inappropriate, unprofessional or unlawful, from either the examinee, the client or any persons associated in any way to them will be grounds for immediate termination of the examination and no refund will be applicable in those circumstances. The examinee may not agree with part or the entire polygraph examination test results and or opinions rendered by the examiner. Knowing this fact, the client and examinee acknowledge that any threatening or aggressive behaviour, intimidation, shouting or yelling, criminal conduct of any kind, harassment, or any type of behaviour’s deemed inappropriate, unprofessional or unlawful, maybe reported to the Garda. A civil lawsuit may be filed against any individual who engages in making slanderous, defamation of character or false statements about any examiner and or any Lie Detector Ltd employee, whether verbally, in writing and or online.​

    The examinee is expected and required to cooperate fully with the examiner during the entire polygraph examination process. Manipulations by the examinee during the actual testing process such as manipulative breathing, burping, sneezing, coughing, facial contortions, swallowing, sniffing, falling asleep, ejecting bodily fluids towards the examiner’s direction or body, or any excessive or unusual physical body movements or any general lack of cooperation will be grounds for immediate termination of the testing process.​

  1. Fees and Cancellation
  2. A non-refundable part payment is required when scheduling an appointment for a polygraph examination; the appointment is deemed provisional until such time this payment is received. This payment is not refundable under any circumstances and cannot be transferred to another appointment. The balance must be paid prior to the examination commencing. The total examination cost is non-refundable regardless of the early termination of the examination process by either the client and or the examiner for any reason.

  1. Terms of payment
  2. All payments must be received in full prior to the commencement of the polygraph test.

  1. Law
  2. This agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Both parties shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

  1. Confidential Information and Data Protection
  2. Lie Detector Limited is registered with the Data Protection Commissioner. We do not disclose your information to any third party without your prior authorisation. All personal details are kept confidential and all payment details are handled by a secure and encrypted system.

  1. Disclaimer
  2. The examinee and or client further hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lie Detector Limited and any of its Examiners, officers and or employees from any loss, harm, liability, lawsuits, damages or costs, including court costs and solicitors fees, they may incur due to the; polygraph examination; release of the recordings; release of the results; release of the written report and or Examiner’s opinion and whether caused by negligence of Lie Detector Limited .
